The GSM Association (GSMA) is the world's largest mobile trade association with a membership of more than 700 GSM mobile phone operators across 217 territories and countries around the world. In addition, more than 200 manufacturers and suppliers support the Association's initiatives as associate members. The primary goals of the GSMA are to ensure mobile phones and wireless services work globally and are easily accessible, enhancing their value to consumers and national economies, while creating new business opportunities for operators and their suppliers. The Association's members serve over almost 3 billion customers - over 82% of the world's mobile customers!

 

The annual GSMA Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona is the world's largest event hosting more than 50,000 people from around the world. It showcases the very latest in technology, services and innovation - bringing to life the promise of mobile broadband for all and defining the industry's path to continued growth. It also brings together executive leaders and personalities from mobile operators and equipment vendors, as well as those from the Internet and the world of entertainment.
