The eligibility requirements must be met to be considered for the award.  Eligibility requirements may change at the GSMA’s sole discretion at any time and without notice either prior to  or post change.  The most current eligibility requirement descriptions are available online at www.mobileinnovation.org

  1. There are multiple regional legs resulting in a single Global Mobile Awards - Mobile Innovation Grand Prix Champion to be announced at the MWC Global Mobile Awards Gala in February 2010.
  2. Companies over $20m (US dollars) in revenue are excluded from entering the Global Mobile Awards - Mobile Innovation Grand Prix.
  3. Entrants in each regional leg of the Grand Prix will compete by submitting company and product information via an online company and product profile. All entries will be filtered down to a maximum of fifty (50) entrants based on entry completeness, random reference checks, payment, category fit, and alignment with GSMA initiatives (both published and unpublished) before being quantitatively scored by judging panel selected by the GSMA Mobile Innovation team representing the interests of Mobile Network Operators, Investors, mobile industry Vendors & Partners, and Mobile Innovation Market and Marketplace sponsors and partners.
  4. Winners are selected by a judging panel at each leg of the Grand Prix.
    • If an Innovator is selected as a winner from any region, they will no longer be eligible to participate in another region until the following year – this is to prevent one company potentially winning all regions and being declared the overall winner by default.
    • All regional winners will compete live via a presentation to our judging panel and audience. Judges will have access to previous quantitative rankings based on the award entry information provided at the time each innovator initially won their region, in addition to their corporate profile on the MIX. However, the final ranking and scoring will be qualitative based on the presentation to the judging panel.

5. Select Industry Partner will be allowed feed their respective awards program winners into the Grand Prix as automatic Finalists in the Grand Prix having the same benefits as any regional winner / Finalist.
