The search is on for the most innovative mobile product, service or technology!

GSMA Mobile Innovation invites you to participate in it's final leg of the Mobile Innovation Grand Prix.  Pitch your most innovative technology, service or product at the Future:Mobile event presented by GSMA Mobile Innovation and Rutberg & Co. This year's Americas event will take place 1 December at the Sofitel San Francisco where we will place the best innovative companies on stage to pitch in front of the industry's high tech community, Investors, Operators, a judging panel of industry experts.

 

Best of all, if you’re selected to present at the GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix - Americas Tournament, you’ll receive 2 complimentary passes to the invitation only Future: Mobile event and more importantly, the opportunity to win a trip to the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February and compete as Finalist in the Global Mobile Awards - Mobile Innovation Grand Prix championship.

 

Eligibility

In order to participate in the Americas Tournament, you must be a paid member of the Mobile Innovation Exchange community (corporate membership $499/year).

Tournament Opens : 20 August 2009

Judging Ends :  2 November 2009

Nominees Notified : 3 November 2009

Future:Mobile Event : 1 December 2009

 

Entry Fees

$799 per Americas Tournament entry

 

Judging Criteria

  • Company status – annual revenues less than $20 million USD; ownership cannot consist of Tier 1 or Tier 2 mobile operators or mobile vendors.
  • Market potential – it can be shown that deployment improves the lives of people, small businesses, health, or government by markedly increasing opportunity, reduce costs and improve operating efficiency; improve revenue streams or create revenue or opportunity.
  • Ease of integration – the application, product, service, or technology can be integrated into the network infrastructure with minimal disruption to existing legacy systems and devices using standard interfaces and does not disrupt or negatively impair existing mobile operator services or volumes.
  • Innovative - An original idea for new or improved functionality or enhancements across carrier infrastructure solutions, general business operations, or has adjacent industry applications.

  • The judges will review your company profile as part of your submission. Please provide as much information within your MIX corporate profile as possible.
  • You may click on the "save" button at the bottom of the questionairre to save your submission and return to complete it at anytime before the call for entries has closed.
  • The information you provide will remain confidential and will only be seen by the judges and the Mobile Innovation Team. The contents of your entry will not be published without direct written consent by GSMA.
