Opening Keynote – "The Application Explosion"

The mobile industry is moving towards an open approach allowing developers to use their skills more effectively and create the next generation of products and services. The Android operating system was the first truly open and competitive platform for mobile devices, one that ushered in a new era of collaborative working between developers and the mobile industry.
HTC was the first device manufacturer to launch an Android phone and their European head Florian Seiche was a key contributor to the launch. He delivered an address to highlight the strategic impact of Android system on the mobile market, the opportunities that lie within an improved connection to the developer community and the ways in which the industry can continue support the development of this connection.
