The CampusMovil.net is a online mobile device-based community for the Spanish higher education community.
Overview

The CampusMovil.net Project consists of an online community that is connected mainly by using mobile
devices and is focused on serving Spain’s universities and colleges. This online community is accessed exclusively
and transparently using student’s university-assigned email accounts. This approach effectively constitutes an unofficial
mobile device-based virtual campus.

Funky Mobile Ideas SL is a spin-off originated at the Universitat de Vic in Barcelona with seed capital provided by the Programa Capital Génesis and the Programa Innova of the Centre d'Innovació i Desenvolupament Empresarial (CIDEM), a business incubator funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya. A closed CampusMovil.net beta was launched on November 3, 2008 as part of eWeek 2008 - Semana Digital www.e-weekvic.cat. The official launch of the platform is scheduled for September, 2009.
